NUTELLA

Nutella (/nuːˈtɛlə/; Italian pronunciation: [nuˈtɛlla]) is the brand name of a sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread.Manufactured by the Italian companyFerrero, it was introduced to the market in 1964.

Ingredients

The main ingredients of Nutella are sugar,Palm oil and hazelnut followed by cocoa solids and skimmed milk. In the United States, Nutella contains soy products. Nutella is marketed as "hazelnut cream" in many countries. Under Italian law, it cannot be labeled as a "chocolate cream", as it does not meet minimum cocoa solids concentration criteria. Ferrero consumes 25 percent of the global supply of hazelnuts.

The traditional Piedmont recipe, Gianduja, was a mixture containing approximately 71.5% hazelnut paste and 19.5% chocolate. It was developed in Piedmont, Italy after taxes on cocoa beans hindered the manufacture and distribution of conventional chocolate.

Nutrition

Nutella contains 10.5 percent of saturated fat and 58% of processed sugar by weight. A two-tablespoon (37 gram) serving of Nutella contains 200 calories including 99 calories from 11 grams of fat (3.5g of which are saturated) and 80 calories from 21 grams of sugar. The spread also contains 15 mg of sodium and 2g of protein per serving (for reference a Canadian serving size is 1 tablespoon or 19 grams).

C500 juice drink

In a tropical country like the Philippines, cold drinks are always in demand particularly during summer. Choosing which drink to purchase is sometimes an issue especially if we have a lot of options to choose from. We need to ensure that it will really refresh us and at the same time give us health benefits. Just recently I have found this new drink named C500 juice drink.

What is unique about C500 is it contains 500mg of vitamin C. When I read its label and saw this info, I did not think twice to buy and try it. We cannot easily find a drink that has more vitamin C like this juice drink. It is what I usually drink when I am at work and whenever I forget to take my ascorbic acid tablet. I think it is one of the good alternatives to vitamin C supplements.

Another thing I like about C500 is it is very affordable. It is actually cheaper than other vitamin C juice drinks. It only costs 15.40 Php / 355 ml bottle and comes in two varieties: Tangy Lemonade & Citrus Orange. Both flavors have a pleasant taste and I like them both. They are neither too sweet nor sour. Everyone in my family likes them too.

C500 juice drink is one of the best drinks I have ever tasted. It is like an energy drink to me. With it, I feel so refreshed and energized. I always buy and drink one when I go out or travel. My mother or brother does the same thing at times.

I strongly recommend C500 to health-conscious individuals. Since it has a lot of vitamin C, it can help boost and strengthen our immune system. So it does not only quench our thirst but it also keeps us healthy. I suggest that it should have more flavors such as pineapple, pomelo and guyabano. They should advertise it (again) on TV so more people will learn about it and purchase it.

I am pretty sure kids and adults alike will love C500! It has a taste that tickles one’s taste buds and vitamins that everybody needs.

Although sugar can provide energy, it is a simple carbohydrate and may make you feel tired later on. Sugar may also promote tooth decay.

Vitamin A

Boost's official website notes that vitamin A is also included in Boost. According to the online nutrition resource World's Healthiest Foods, vitamin A can help you maintain a strong immune system and may also improve or preserve your eyesight. World's Healthiest Foods experts also explains that a lack of vitamin A can lead to viral infections, bone abnormalities, loss of appetite and slowed growth.

Vitamin C

Another vitamin included in Boost is vitamin C. According to Boost's official website, vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and may also strengthen your immune system.

Vitamin E

Boost nutritional drinks also contain vitamin E. Like vitamin C and A, vitamin E is an antioxidant, explains Boost's official website. This means vitamin E may help protect your immune system and and prevent free radical damage from affecting your cells.

Selenium

Selenium is a mineral, but is also an antioxidant, according to Boost's official website. Selenium is provided by the sodium selenite present in Boost brand nutritional drinks.

Puerto Princesa Underground River (Philippines Tourist Spot)

Looking to swim? Island hopping is one of the biggest draws of Puerto Princesa. At Honda Bay, boats take tourists to nearby islands for lunch picnics, snorkeling and non-stop swimming. The calm water and sandy bottoms beat any hotel pool.

The entire area where the Underground River is located is actually a national park and a model of biodiversity. More than 800 plant species, including almost 300 trees, 195 bird species, 30 mammals, 19 reptiles, and eight bat species call this area home.

In the municipality of Narra, Arena Island, a turtle sanctuary, and Rasa Island, a bird sanctuary, both have island-hopping opportunities.

A three-hour ride also takes you to Port Barton in the municipality of San Vicente, which has been described as a backpacker’s dream. The only problem you might have is deciding whether to swim, dive, snorkel or just swing to sleep on a hammock.

Get a glimpse of Puerto Princesa’s heritage in the Batak Cultural Village. It’s a model of the communities where the Batak mountain people — one of Palawan’s oldest and the smallest of three major indigenous groups — live. The village has a gallery and a shop where Batak handicrafts are sold.

The Tabon Cave Complex in the municipality of Quezon is an important archaeological site. Although the more than 100-hectare complex is supposed to have some 200 caves, only seven can be viewed. Of these, the Tabon Cave itself was the site where the remains of the oldest Homo sapiens in Southeast Asia were found, dating to 47,000 years ago.

Samal, Davao del Norte

Samal is a fourth-class city in the province of Davao del Norte, Davao Region, Philippines. Its official name is Island Garden City of Samal and it is made up of Samal Island and the smaller Talikud Island in the Davao Gulf, making it a part of Mindanao island group.

Samal is a part of the Metropolitan Davao area and is located two kilometers away from Davao City, the largest city and the primary economic center of Mindanao.

To reach the island city, transportation is available via a barge/ferry service or passenger boats along the Sasa Wharf & Sta. Ana Wharf in Davao City. The modes of transportation on the island are tricycles or trikes, bus and private car services offered by resorts.
